Bees in Trees!

This is a photo from about 5 years ago. I was working in a North End neighbourhood when a huge swarm of bees came out of nowhere like a dark cloud. A few people ran for cover as the insects swarmed in random directions. I was sitting in my truck, safe and sound. Within minutes, the bees had almost completely covered my truck and I had no idea what I was going to do. I stayed inside and shut the engine off, wondering if the bees could actually get into the engine.

I attempted to dig out my camera after my initial shock and surprise, but by now, they had started dissipating. After swarming for a few more minutes, they decided to all land on a tiny tree, all at the same time. I was surprised that so any of them could gather in one place. This picture isn't the greatest because I couldn't get very close in fear that they might decide to attack me. The camera I had at the time had no zoom feature. Unfortunately, this was the only photo I could get that shows the true scale of how many bees there were.
